Bernie Sanders Gaining on Hillary Clinton

There are many reasons why Democratic voters would support Hillary Clinton for the presidency. As of very recent polls, 16% of voters believe she is the right person for the job due to her experience and relationship with former president Bill Clinton; 13% of Clinton supporters claim it is time for a woman to be president while 10% think she is the best candidate for the job.

Bernie Sanders is gaining on Hillary Clinton.  Polls show that Clinton has 47% of the Democratic vote, a decline from 58% in August. Sanders appears to have an increase in support, all stemming from what once belonged to Clinton.

As Clinton holds a 2-digit advantage over Sanders, the former First Lady has seen how support for the other male candidates has declined, Sanders is the runner-up that appears to be gaining ground.

Even though Clinton remains the strongest candidate within Democratic women and moderates, the advantage has diminished. The men supporting Hillary Clinton dropped up to 5% this month. It must concern Hillary Clinton why this is happening.

Could it be that people no longer trust her? Because the truth is that many sectors of the population might be turning their backs on Clinton in favor of Bernie Sanders.

Six percent of Democratic voters are reluctant to support Clinton and 48% are still willing to support her. There is 25% that will follow her but with some reservation and 15% who would only back her if she won this first race.

It is important to notice the fact that voters were asked what their second choice for President would be. The majority did not hesitate to say Joe Bidden. This would make him the candidate to beat as it would position him as the strongest candidate for the Democratic Party.
